Welcome to the homepage for youth ministry in the Diocese of New Westminster!
There are a number of different ministries operating for youth and children in the Diocese; and you can find information about all of them in these pages.
Many individual parishes operate youth ministries. There are also groups operating ministries which are open to all youth in the Diocese, such as Camp Artaban and the British Columbian Anglican Youth Movement.
Diocesan wide initiatives and events are coordinated by the Diocesan Youth Movement, a unit formed by youth and youth leaders from around the Diocese. DYM are organize Diocesan wide youth initatives including 2009's Survivor: Artaban and 2008's Urban Pilgrimage.
Phil Colvin, the Diocesan Youth Coordinator supports and extends youth ministry throughout the Diocese. As well as telling you more about any of the ministries and resources on this site, Phil can help to assist you with ministering to youth in whichever Diocesan context you’re involved in.

Are we Apprentices? Idols? Next Top Models? And, if not, who are we really? Join us at Camp Artaban for a weekend where you'll take part in the biggest collection of reality television shows ever assembled for activities, worship, games... even meals! But don't worry, nobody got voted off of our island!
Survivor: Artaban was a fantastic success! 85 youth and youth leaders gathered for a weekend of fun, faith and fellowship. They had the chance to play and worship together, as well as getting connected to the Diocesan Youth Movement, the British Columbia and Yukon Anglican Youth Movement and Camp Artaban.
Lots of folks got together again to reconnect at the Survivor Artaban Reunion a few weeks later. You can see some of the pictures from the event here, and in the May 2009 issue of TOPIC. More will appear in the coming months, and you'll also be able to watch videos from the event in due course.
Thanks for coming! To find out what's happening next, make sure you're on the mailing list (check the bottom left column of this page for more information)
