The Diocesan Youth Movement (DYM) is a group of youth workers, youth and those involved with youth ministry who co-ordinate youth ministry initiatives in the Diocese of New Westminster.

DYM maintains a Facebook group for discussion of youth ministry and for keeping people up to date with what's happening at the moment. To connect with DYM, join the Facebook group or contact Phil Colvin at Synod Office.

We've built up a collection of useful, relevant resources for youth workers here at Synod Office. Click here to be taken to our resource library.

All our resources are avaliable for free loan to youth leaders. Simply contact Phil Colvin, who'll be happy to send out the resources to you!

Each month, the Diocesan Youth Coordinator sends out an e-mail with news, information and useful links regarding youth ministry. If you'd like to receive these mails, contact Phil Colvin.

Welcome to the homepage for youth ministry in the Diocese of New Westminster!

There are a number of different ministries operating for youth and children in the Diocese; and you can find information about all of them in these pages.

Many individual parishes operate youth ministries. There are also groups operating ministries which are open to all youth in the Diocese, such as Camp Artaban and the British Columbian Anglican Youth Movement.

Diocesan wide initiatives and events are coordinated by the Diocesan Youth Movement, a unit formed by youth and youth leaders from around the Lower Mainland. DYM organize Diocesan wide youth initiatives including 2011's Apocalypse Wow!,  2009's Survivor: Artaban and 2008's Urban Pilgrimage.

Phil Colvin, the Diocesan Youth Coordinator supports and extends youth ministry throughout the Diocese. As well as telling you more about any of the ministries and resources on this site, Phil can help to assist you with ministering to youth in whichever Diocesan context you’re involved in.
