Legacy Circle is the Diocese of New Westminster’s way of celebrating the gifts of God’s grace and our individual ability to show our gratitude. It was created to commend and graciously thank those who have made a financial commitment in their estate plan to further the ministry of their parish, the Diocese, related groups or the Anglican Church of Canada. Legacy Circle has parish chapters which help to educate people and raise awareness about planned giving.
If you have remembered the Anglican Church of Canada in your will, or made a provision for the church in your estate plans, or have made a gift to a church endowment fund, you are eligible to be a member of the Legacy Circle in the Diocese of New Westminster. This inclusive program has no minimum level required—no gift is too small. Please ask your Rector for a Legacy Circle Enrollment Form or contact the Planned Giving Office at the Synod Office. We would like to acknowledge your gift and enroll you as a member of the Legacy Circle.
With your permission, your name will be entered on the Legacy Circle Scroll that resides in the Synod Office. You will also receive a special card to place in your parish offering to acknowledge your gift and we’ll send you LEGACY, our triennial newsletter about the stewardship life and planned giving matters. Each year there will be a celebration event at Christ Church Cathedral to honour all the members of Legacy Circle. Parish Chapters of Legacy Circle may also hold an annual celebration event. By allowing your name to be added to the Legacy Circle Scroll, your gift will stand quietly as a witness to us and to future generations. You will have looked beyond this life and planted a tree that will bear fruit in due season.
