Friday, September 25th just after 12 noon, The Right Reverend John E. Privett, Bishop of Kootenay was elected Metropolitan of British Columbia and Yukon.
He was elected on the fourth ballot at the Provincial Synod held at the Sorrento Centre in British Columbia's interior on Shuswap Lake.
The installation of the new Metropolitan took place Sunday morning. September 27th during worship.
The Most Reverend John Privett was also appointed to the Board of Directors of the Vancouver School of Theology.
