This Benedictine community of men conducts a school and seminary. While hospitality is a mainstay of Benedictine houses, the Abbey's main focus is not as a retreat centre but as a religious community. The atmosphere is, therefore, austere and male and is not open to solitary female retreatants. Accommodation is comfortable and simple, as are the meals, and offers accommodation for one or more nights, for individuals or groups. It should be noted that there are no elevators in the guesthouse. The Abbey grounds offer pleasant walks, although for those with difficulty walking, might prove tiring, as there is no seating provided. The only bench overlooking the beautiful Fraser River Valley is high and not comfortable for prolonged sitting.
