The 7th Annual Investiture of New Members to the Order of the Diocese of New Westminster (ODNW) Eucharist will take place at the Massey Theatre in New Westminster, 735 8th Avenue, Sunday, November 1st at 7pm (NOTE THE TIME CHANGE due to the Massey Theatre's double booking).
Doors will open at 5:30pm and all are invited to arrive at that time to enjoy a reception in the theatre lobby. Refreshments will be provided and will include a tempting assortment of finger foods both sweet and savoury. This will be a great opportunity to spend some social time together as a diocesan family as we prepare to honour the “modern day Saints” among us.
There will be a special Registration desk in the theatre lobby area where recipients will need to check-in, no later than 6:15 pm. Clergy are also requested to vest and process and the call time is also 6:15pm. Liturgical colour is white.
With the increased seating capacity in the theatre (approximately 1200) compared to that of Christ Church Cathedral (600), Bishop Skelton has informed diocesan communications each person being invested can now invite up to a total of 15 family members, friends, and fellow parishioners to the Investiture Service.
The Main entrance is located just east of the 8th Avenue & 8th Street intersection. Watch for large reader board at street side & Massey Theatre awning above main entrance doors.
PARKING
Free parking is permitted in the New Westminster Secondary parking lot adjacent to Massey Theatre on a first come, first served basis provided that vehicles are parked in designated areas and are not blocking fire lanes, doorways, loading areas or areas marked "No Parking".
Enter parking lot on 8th Avenue just east of 8th & 8th intersection. Driveway is between theatre & Moody Park Arena. Please note that there is No Parking allowed in the Moody Park Arena section in front of their building.
Note: Massey Theatre, Moody Park Arena and School District 40 reserve the right to have any illegally parked vehicles towed at the owner's expense.
Accessible Parking: Accessible parking & wheelchair accessible entrance with automatic doors is available at the rear lobby entry. Once you enter the parking lot from 8th Avenue continue straight approximately 100 yards. Turn left around the corner of the building towards the gated parking area. Enter the gated parking lot, there are 4 wheelchair stalls and a ramp to the lobby.
Parking for Handi-Dart vehicles: Available adjacent to the Loading Bay area on the left-hand side just as you enter the parking lot off 8th Avenue. Watch for a posted sign.
Washrooms:
There are 4 washrooms on the main floor all with braille signage and handicapped accessibility.
