Joe Baker and Lin Niefert are offering a series of 5 Monday evening Lenten reflections to explore the experience of the wilderness of negative emotions (Depression, Anxiety, Anger, Fear, etc.), Prayer from within these life positions, concluding with the spiritual Joy of Easter.

We will be guided in part by a variety of spiritual readings on the topics.  However, most of each evening will be in discussion of how we relect on a range of human life, including our emotional lives, with an intention to do so as a deliberate Lenten practice of confronting life's challenges.

We look at our own personal times of "being in the wilderness" as we attend to Jesus experience of his inner stuggles, abandonment by those closest to him, betrayal, sham trial and crucifixion.

The sessions would be a maximum of approx. 90 minutes startig at 7:00 PM commencing Feb 23, then on March 2,9,16, and 23. No session in Holy week.  A sign-up sheet is available in the gathering place (narthex).  You may bring your own bible and a personal journal to write in.
