The Unitarian Church of Vancouver has served the community of greater Vancouver for over 100 years. On Wednesday, September 16, 2015 from 7:30 to 9:30 our Environment and Social Justice Committees are holding a non-partisan all-party meeting on the Environment and Social Policy. We, with our co-sponsor, the Suzuki Elders, have invited the political parties running in the 2015 Federal Election to send a representative to participate in this event.

The purpose of this non-partisan meeting is to inform the voters of Vancouver on the parties' positions on these important issues. There will be equal opportunities for opening and closing statements. The meeting will focus questions and responses on these four areas:

  • the economy and environment
  • climate change
  • aboriginal issues
  • affordable housing.

The Oak Street Farmers' Market will be providing refreshments prior to 7:30pm and after 9:30pm to encourage audience members to interact on these important issues.
