St. Hildegard’s Sanctuary is an inclusive, arts-based, contemplative Christian community. We engage our creativity to respond to and connect with the Holy, with one another, and with the broader community.
On Sunday, September 18 we will be celebrating the Feast of St. Hildegard - and we are delighted to welcome some very special guest artists.
Carl Leggo is a Poet and Professor and Papa. Carl is a Professor in the Department of Language and Literacy Education at the University of British Columbia. Celeste Snowber is a dancer, writer, poet, and educator. Celeste is an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Education at Simon Fraser University. Allen Desnoyers is a musician and composer and playwright. Allen is the Artistic Director of the Canadiana Musical Theatre Company, creator of the Rosebud Opera House, and co-founder of Vancouver's Pacific Theatre. Erica Grimm is an award-winning Canadian artist represented in galleries across Canada and beyond. Erica is an Associate Professor and Chair of the Art + Design Department, School of the Arts, Media and Culture at Trinity Western University.
You do not have to self-identify as an artist to join us. Come as a beloved creation of God!

St. Hildegard’s Sanctuary is a ministry of St. Faith’s Anglican Church. The Reverend Melanie Calabrigo is the priest who gathers this community. The worship space, liturgy, and practices are trauma-informed.
