Nature plays a key role in the ancient nectars, evergreen boughs, wreaths and swags, and multi-purpose items hewn from reclaimed wood, offered at St. David’s Christmas Fair, December 2.
For those who seek ancient nectars, Gourmet Fireweed Honey from BC’s Cowichan Valley will attract the aficionado of pure honey, while a quince tree in a local garden yields the yellow pear-like fruit that spurs a growing interest in the unique flavour of this historic species. And from the lathe in the Old Goat’s Work Shop, creative handmade wooden objects ‘radiate a certain soul and humanity’ not to be found in their commercial counterparts.
Keen Footwear’s semi-annual sale will again feature year-end offering of winter lines, adding another facet to the parish Christmas Fair. Certain styles will be available in all sizes.
Books and puzzles, baking and preserves, jewellery, collectible treasures, knitted garments, and ‘small is beautiful’ at a Priced for Kids’ stall will circle the parish hall at 1115-51A Street, Tsawwassen, from 10am to 2pm on Saturday, December 2.
