A Celebration of the New Ministry of Salal and Cedar Watershed Discipleship Community on the Autumnal Equinox.

All are invited to participate in the commissioning and celebration of our new eco-justice ministry on Coast Salish territory. There will be drums and bicycles, cob oven-baked eucharistic bread, renewing our baptismal vows to "safeguard the integrity of creation" and "strive for justice" in local water, homegrown produce, presentation of the canons and so much more.


The service begins at 7pm but arrive early to tour the farm.

And please note that even though A Rocha Farm's address is 16th Avenue you will need to enter via 192nd Street

At Salal and Cedar we worship outdoors rain or shine, there will be some shelter but come dressed for the weather. Please bring a chair if standing for 30 minutes is difficult. If you have garden produce to share please bring it.


For clergy who choose to vest, liturgical colour is green, for all others blue (water), white (air), or red (fire) are also appropriate.

We will provide a van shuttle from King George skytrain station (778 885 9453). The service will be in English. The ground is flat, unpaved and firmly packed. We have access to ungendered washrooms indoors and porta-potties.
