What's 50 years old this year, and definitely one of Our Favourite Things?

It's the Sound of Music movie, and we can't wait to host a sing-a-long version that will offer on-screen lyrics to all the tunes, costume prizes, and lots of themed food and activities! We can assure you that you won't go home hungry. (Meal is by donation.)

Best of all, this event will help raise funds for our deanery's sponsorship of Syrian refugees (so please bring your loonies, toonies and chequebook!) We think Maria and Captain von Trapp, who had to cross a few borders themselves, would definitely have appreciated that.

Please stay tuned for more details to come, but in the meantime start planning your costume (OK, costumes aren't mandatory... but they do qualify you for a door prize!) So set aside the late afternoon/evening of Sunday, October 25 for some cinematic adventure - and start inviting your friends now! Please see Heather Peacock or Peggy Trendell-Jensen with any questions.

Tickets are $10 in advance, $15 at the door

Youth 12 and under - $5

Please email Peggy at peggytj@shaw.ca for tickets, or call 604-619-5576.

(Please note this was briefly advertised as an Oct. 24 event, but of necessity it has been changed to Sunday the 25th.)
