The memorial garden established by St. Andrew’s, Langley, will be discussed at Church Depot’s “Tool Time” Saturday, October 13, at the parish

Organizers of Church Depot, the diocese's workshop program, have plans for a session this fall and two more early next year.

"Tool Time" is the name given to the Saturday event on October 13 at St. Andrew's Langley. It will cover several practical parish activities: creating a welcoming parish with landscaping and gardening, becoming a presence in the community, "greening" your parish environmentally, and setting up and managing a memorial garden.

In 2008 on Feb. 2, Diana Butler Bass, author of Christianity for the Rest of Us, will be a keynote speaker. On March 8, a morning-only session will take place for wardens, treasurers and other parish leaders.

Details about any Church Depot events can be had from the Diocesan Synod Office, 604 684-6306. Talk to Paul Borthistle (ext. 226) or Bettina Gruver (ext. 219).
