At 10am on Tuesday, March 14 the Synod Staff of the Diocese of New Westminster gathered in the kitchen shared by the Synod Office and St. John's, Shaughnessy for the traditional birthday song and a piece of cake to mark the birthday of the Bishop of the Diocese of New Westminster, the Right Reverend Melissa Skelton. Bishop Skelton's spouse the Reverend Eric Stroo had to remain in Seattle for work, however he'd arranged for a delicious Angel Food, fruit and whipped cream cake to be served on "the day."
