It wasn’t all conference rooms and table discussions at “Joint Assembly” the July 3rd-7th meeting of the General Synod of the Anglican Church of Canada and the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada held in Ottawa.

On the morning of Saturday, July 6th, Lutherans and Anglicans arrived on Parliament Hill to draw attention to the issues of access to clean drinking water for all, particularly Canada’s First Nations people.
This event was led by youth, some of whom were delegates at Joint Assembly some were from the wider community. The Right to Water is the 2012-2014 National Youth Project of CLAY (Canadian Lutheran Anglican Youth). The ELCiC Program Committee for Youth Ministry (PCYM) and justgeneration.ca the Youth Initiative of PWRDF are working partners on this project.
