Tuesday, December 20 had the best evening weather so far in this cold and snowy month. The pleasant and dry evening was the backdrop for St. Mark’s Journey of Christmas to welcome Bishop Melissa Skelton and her dog Teddy for their first visit to the guided outdoor display.

Upon arrival, Bishop Skelton was warmly welcomed by: People’s Wardens, Ken Miles and Roger Hussen; Rev. Craig Tanksley, his wife Holly; Journey of Christmas chair, Brian Walks, and official hosts Jack and Pauline Blachford. The Bishop was impressed with the multi-media display as she walked through the nine theatre “journey” with others joining the group on the way.

Youth With a Ministry (YWAM) missionaries Staci Silva from Brazil and Julie Moreira from New Zealand entertained in the hall over hot chocolate and casual conversation with many of our visitors to the Journey of Christmas that evening.

Bishop Melissa and Teddy departed for home following the receipt of a bouquet of flowers from the Journey of Christmas committee presented by Brian Walks.
