March 23, 1926 - July 11, 2018

Margaret  Wilkin died peacefully in the early morning hours of July 11, at the age of 92 with her adored great granddaughter Mckayla watching over her.

Beloved wife of the late Dorval Wilkin, predeceased by her daughter Elizabeth Pfau and sister June Overton. Her remaining daughters Reva Wilkin, Karen Gerson, sisters Sheila Crampton, and Joycelyn MacDonald will cherish their memories of this most loving thoughtful parent and sister, a true gift from God.

On July 19 at St. George, Maple Ridge a celebration of her life took place. Margaret had worshipped at St. Georg’s for a great many years and participated and helped in all aspects of church life and the wider community. As church treasurer she always managed without complaints to keep the books in order.

One of her proudest moments was when she was inducted into the Order of the Diocese of New Westminster in 2011. Her Citation reads:

“Margaret has been a faithful servant at St. George’s for many, many years. Her service has included being Parish Treasurer for “too many years to count”. Whenever there is a call for volunteers Margaret is always there ready and willing to help.”

In addition to her own grandchildren and great grandchildren she leaves a legacy of dozens of foster children around the world that were blessed, if not by knowing her directly by being touched by her love and generosity.
