Many thanks to the Reverend Paul Richards and Sheila and Simon Johnston of the Holy Trinity, White Rock Refugee Committee for sending these great shots of the Syrian newcomers who arrived at YVR on May 8. 2018, and have now moved into their new home.

The move took place on Sunday, May 20 as Randa, Kawa and their three children moved out of the temporary motel space and into their new apartment in New Westminster. Sheila wanted to make sure that everyone knows that the they couldn't have "undertaken the move with the help of 3 Scout leaders."

The family do have relatives in the Lower Mainland, Randa's cousins are here and have been involved in the process and the ressetlement.

Many thanks also to Dr. Shakuntala Soden, Diocesan Refugee Coordinator and to Diocesan Refugee Unit Chair, Shannon Muir for their ongoing commitment and hard work, helping newcomwers begin their new lives in Canada and also for keeping diocesan communication in the loop.
