"Go slow if you can. Slower. More slowly still…different darks have different tasks." -Richardson, 2015.
This Advent, the Rev. Dixie Black facilitates a Quiet morning designed to help us navigate what is the darkest time of year. The days are shorter, wetter, and darker and we can feel the effects emotionally, physically and mentally. The Christian Church often presents darkness as the opposite to the light of faith, or the light of Christ and that can lead to denial and self blame. Through prayer, reflection and journaling we will practice opening to the riches within that the dark and bring into our lives.
