In some cultures All Saints or All Souls is called "The Day of the Dead”, celebrated at the beginning of November, just after Hallowe’en.
The Parish of Christ the Redeemer invites people of all faiths and traditions who would like to remember friends and family who have died, to come to the church and cemetery on Sunday, November 1, the Feast of All Saints, between 5 and 7pm. There will be an opportunity to make a token to leave at a shrine in the cemetery to remember your loved ones. Historic Christ Church will be open for tours, prayer and meditation.
Christ the Redeemer Anglican Church, in the heart of Surrey, is caretaker of Surrey’s first church and graveyard, dating from 1882.
