The St. John's, Shaughnessey Learning Group on Indigenous Justice invites all those interested to join ethnobotanist Dr. T'uy't'tanat Cease Wyss (Skwxwu7mesh, Sto:lo, Hawaiian, Swiss) and community planner and consultant Chelsey Schmidtke (German, Cree-Metis from Bigstone Cree Nation) for a guided tour of the Maplewood Flats Conservation Area in North Vancouver (2649 Dollarton Hwy) on Saturday afternoon, June 6.

For those interested in questions of reconciliation and Indigenous justice, this event is a welcoming and unintimidating entry point into learning about the Indigenous relationship to the land and Indigenous ways of knowing—and it helps support Indigenous knowledge-keepers and experts in ongoing community-based initiatives on Tsleil-Waututh territory. Cost is $20 (as able). Tea and snacks will be provided, and carpooling options will be coordinated closer to the event date.

Registration is required. Registration link below.
