 ion Assembly with the candidates running in the upcoming municipal electio
 n. \nTogether with hundreds of community members from across Metro Vancou
 ver\, MVA will ask Vancouver's mayoral candidates to make public commitmen
 ts to work with our Alliance on four key priorities:\n\nCommunity lands fo
 r community homes – Pre-zone faith\, community\, and non-profit-owned la
 nd for affordable housing development.\nDignified homes for all – Work w
 ith the Metro Vancouver Alliance to advocate for $2 billion in federal fun
 ding for deeply affordable housing.\nSafe\, connected\, and livable commun
 ities – Commit to adding an articulated bus lane on a portion of Hasting
 s Street to improve transit.\nFuture-ready jobs for youth – Launch Vanco
 uver's first Youth Climate Corps to create meaningful employment while exp
 anding the city's urban tree canopy.\n\nThis is a unique opportunity to he
 ar directly from the mayoral candidates as they respond to these proposals
  and make clear\, public commitments to our communities.\nThe Municipal El
 ection Assembly is more than a political event\; it is an opportunity for 
 our organizations to stand together\, demonstrate the strength of our coll
 ective voice\, and help shape the future of our city.\nThis event is open
