PIH Rwanda is recognized for improving the health of women and girls, promoting safe deliveries, training community health promoters and saving lives through quick referrals to other health services in Rwanda.

It has been the implementing partner for PWRDF’s All Mother and Children Count program since2016. PWRDF donors and volunteers in the Diocese of New Westminster and elsewhere have been extremely supportive of this program, which
receives six dollars from the Government of Canada for every one dollar raised by Canadians.

Toni and Christian will share successes on women’s empowerment in Rwanda as well as insights from the international Women Deliver conference happening in Vancouver.

Toni serves as the Deputy Director for PIH Rwanda, managing activities across clinical and non-clinical programs, with a strong focus on empowering women and communities for health and sustainability.

Christian manages the PIH Rwanda component of the All Mothers and Children Count program, which also operates in
Tanzania, Mozambique and Burundi

Joining Toni and Christian are Will Postma, Executive Director of PWRDF and the Rev. Karin Achtelstetter, Executive Director of Canadian Lutheran World Relief.
