The Diocesan Peace & Justice Unit is co-sponsoring a solidarity dinner organized by the International Coalition for Human Rights in the Phillipines (ICHRP). The dinner takes place July 12 at St. Augustine's church. Enjoy a casual community dinner with Filipino food as we hear and reflect about the ongoing struggle for human rights in the Philippines. 

Purchasing a ticket and attending the dinner supports human rights in the Phillipines. During the evening you'll hear about hear from guest speakers about

  • how the issues faced by our fellow global citizens in the Philippines are intrinsically linked to the Canadian political agenda.
  • key insights into the current human right situation in the Phillipines,
  • stories from community leaders and human rights defenders,
  • updates on solidarity efforts.
