The following is a message to the diocese from the Chair of the Diocesan Eco-Justice Unit, the Reverend Margaret Marquardt.

Greta Thunberg has repeated over and over again to listen to the science.

So here we have it.

The Eco-justice Unit of the diocese encourages dialogue in parishes about the climate emergency.

The Canadian government stated in June 2019 that we are in a climate emergency in the world.

It would be thoughtful for those who would choose to do so either individually or collectively as a parish to write to the Prime Minister and press upon the government our concern as Anglican Christians that Canada be a leader in the world in addressing this climate emergency.

Listen to the science. Listen to the vulnerable ones of earth who are already enduring tremendous suffering because of climate change.
