The Rev. Dn. Eileen Nurse, Executive Assistant to Bishop Michael Ingham, Deacon, St. George, Fort Langley and the Rev. Markus Duenzkofer, Incumbent, St. Paul, West End posed together at the May 7th, Pre-Synod Day to show their "SPIRITED" support for the Vancouver Canucks.
They were two of 205 people from around the Diocese of New Westminster who attended the event at St. Mary's Kerrisdale
The Vancouver Canucks unfortunately lost Game 5 of the best of 7 semi-final, that evening at home to the Nashville Predators.
Communications Officer Randy Murray, snapped three photos of Eileen and Markus in this pose and each time Markus' eyes were closed. It is assumed that they were closed in prayer, praying that both teams play well and finsh the game in good health.
