Committees of GS meet

Although the orientation and first official General Synod business doesn't begin until later this evening/tomorrow (July 7 and 8), the Committees of General Synod have been meeting the morning of July 7. These committees include the Resolutions Committee, Agenda Committee and Nominations Committee. Dean Peter Elliott and I are on the Nominations Committee and so began our work at 10am with a meeting on the 9th floor and have moved into our downstairs headquarters to continue our converation. We discuss procedures, provincial caucuses, positions to be elected. It is a fascinating (and not un-complicated!) process. Luckily we have Peter in the chair guiding us well!
