A Christmas Carol (1843) has long been performed as a reading (since first in 1849 by Dickens himself), a Christmas tradition of one lonely man's transformation from miserable miser towards empathy, reconnection, and love for his fellow man.

The Plum in the Pudding? Proceeds from ticket sales and your cash donations at the door help St Philip's parishioners supply grocery gift cards to local families facing food insecurity. Elementary School social support workers know which families in their schools would most benefit from a helping hand. Outreach volunteers buy and deliver grocery cards to four elementary schools. The more we raise, the more we can give. This is a project that Charles Dickens would be proud to support.
