All are welcome at Mark’s, Ocean Park Anglican church to celebrate this season of faith, joy, hope and love with a very special Christmas benefit concert. Well-known operatic/broadway musical singers, Debra DaVaughn, Christopher Simmons, and Cassandra Simmons, will present a lively program of traditional Christmas Carols, some opera arias, and classic Broadway favourites.

This memorable concert is co-sponsored by, and will benefit, “Sources South Surrey / White Rock Food Bank”, so you know, by attending, that you are supporting a worthwhile local cause. Get set to experience that old-fashioned Christmas carol feeling. Bring the kids, grandma and grandpa, your friends and neighbours too.

Christopher Simmons and Debra DaVaughn are a dynamic couple who literally met and fell in love singing opera. They have each enjoyed successful professional music careers performing in Canada, Mexico and the United States. The couple has also found great success in music theatre, and for eight years they produced and starred in “A Night on Broadway”, an annual concert with fellow professionals which raised over $100,000 for the Surrey Food Bank. Their daughter, Cassandra Simmons has been a part of the Lights Up Youth Theatre Program and studies piano. The Simmons have performed together as a family several times during their careers in support of local charities. They are thrilled to support the important work of the Sources Food Bank!

Tickets to this special fund-raising concert are only $20 (children 12 and under are by donation) and may be purchased at the Sources Office, at St Mark’s after church on Sunday mornings, or at the door on December 22. A basket to collect any non-perishable food donations will also be available in the lobby.
