“Back to the Very Beginning: Probing Cosmic Origins”

Dr. Barth Netterfield is a leading cosmologist in the Department of Astronomy and Astrophysics at the University of Toronto and a devoted Christian for whom the study of the stars and distant galaxies increases his awe and wonder at the majesty of the Creator. Not long ago, he travelled to the Antarctic, where he and his research team launched a balloon-borne set of telescopes designed to peer into the furthest reaches of the universe from above earth’s atmosphere. Dr. Netterfield will talk about his current research, share his personal story, and entertain questions.
