On January 6, 2023, the Church of the Holy Trinity will offer a solemn mass for the feast of the Epiphany. January 6 also happens to be the day after the celebration of Ukrainian Christmas, according to the Orthodox liturgical calendar.

The service will be followed by a community meal and fund raiser in support of the Canada Ukraine Surgical Aid Program.
Dinner will begin at approximately 7pm in Griffiths Hall.

The meal will consist of: homemade borscht with meat, rye buns, coffee, tea, and homemade honey-cherry cake, a Ukrainian favourite.

The suggested donation for dinner is $20.

All monies raised will directly support the Canada Ukraine Surgical Aid Program, a registered Canadian charity with the Canada Ukraine Foundation, which supports medical missions of surgeons and nurses from Canada to fly to the area and perform much-needed surgery on civilians wounded by the war. This Program was recently featured on Global National News and the next mission is scheduled for the early New Year.

You can make your cash donation to the Church of the Holy Trinity and mark the cheque  memo  or e-Transfer comment “Ukraine”  for this cause. We already have $200 in the kitty and look forward to raising much more.
