Archbishop Terrence O. Buckle

The provincial archbishop for British Columbia and the Yukon, Terry Buckle, has announced that he will retire at the end of next year.

Archbishop Buckle is one of the four regional archbishops, or Metropolitans, in the Anglican Church of Canada. He made  announced his retirement date at a meeting of the Council of the North.

Elected a suffragan (assistant) bishop of the Diocese of the Arctic in 1993, Bishop Buckle in 1995 moved to the Yukon to become diocesan bishop. He was elected by the executive of the provincial synod as Metropolitan or senior bishop in 2005.
