On Thursday, March 16 the Synod Office and Bishop Skelton were hosts to the Right Reverend Dr. Fred Sheldon Mwesigwa, Ankole Diocese, Church of Uganda.

The Cathedral Church is St. James’ in Ruharo. Bishop Mwesigwa was enthroned the 5th Bishop of Ankole on June 18, 2010. The bishop and Michael Musherure, an English Teacher who is a parishioner at St. Mark’s, Ocean Park were here to speak with Bishop Skelton on a number of topics and also to raise awareness for the East Africa Revival Museum located on Ruyaro Hill, Mbarara Town, Uganda.

The museum which is a mission of Ankole Diocese through displays and archival information covers the story of the great spiritual revival movement that revolutionized East African life and society in the 1930’s.

The 100 year old house has been the home of the five bishops of Ankole Diocese.
