St. Andrew’s, Langley launched a Saturday evening once-a-month Family Eucharist Service in September of 2022. The first liturgy began with 3 families and suddenly 9 families appeared for the second gathering on October 15. Celebrating worship that is family friendly and held at a time that works for children’s/youth's/parent’s weekly demands of school and work schedules is clearly a need and a delight to many families. Some are checking out the Anglican Church as they deconstruct from other church experiences or return as lapsed Anglican/Catholics to a wonderful inclusive and Christ-centred faith family.

Spirituality still really matters to families with younger folks who are being raised in this predominantly secular culture. The evening included Get-to-Know-You games; processing with Cross & candles, Communion elements, cups and plates; lighting candles; a story about St. Francis, utilizing PowerPoint; planting apple trees and building a 4-element Cross outside; picnic-style Family Eucharist with repeat-after-me prayers, followed with fun & pizza! A few parishioners came just to lend a hand or simply join in the beautiful life-giving energy - all are welcome. God bless our wonderful families!
