Happy Birthday Michèle

August 16 is the birthday of the longest current serving Synod staffer, Michèle. Although her job title is quite long (Administrator: Payroll & Benefits, Accounts Receivable & Payable) it doesn't begin to describe all that she does that keeps the administration of the diocese running smoothly. Michèle is also the staff member who makes sure that staff birthdays are recognized with cake and a card throughout the year. As her birthday is in August, a time of the year when many are off and there are no scheduled staff meetings, Michèle misses out on the cake, but not this year! Shailene Caparas, diocesan CFO sourced a DQ ice cream cake and all staff on site met in the Trendell Lounge on Monday, August 14 just before Michèle was about to begin her August vacation time. We sang Happy Birthday to a surprised Michèle, who then did the honours and cut (the very frozen) the cake.
