The Parish of Holy Cross's Garage and Bake sale held on Saturday, July 9 was a resounding success. Naomi’s baked goods and many household goods were sold at low low prices. The parish was happy to have raised money for the roof. But the best part of the day was making connections, chatting to the neighbours, some who helped members of the parish set up the exterior tent. Neighbours returned to the sale after getting their nails done. They asked about my dog. After an entire year, these neighbours remembered the name of my dog. We saw people we haven’t seen since the last garage sale as they showed us the treasures they found, shared memories from the last year and promised to see us again next year.
