Laurel Dykstra, a postulant of our diocese would like to invite everyone to an event she has been working on for the past several months. Ignite the Light is a free youth-led multi media event. Through various art and performance mediums (film, music, spoken word, etc), a team of artistic collaborators will explore the generational impacts of colonization, social justice, and the legacies of Indian Residential Schools. Ignite the Light is a joint project between the Indian Residential School Survivors Society and the Interfaith Institute for Justice, Peace and Social Movements. It's purpose is to create a space for young people to learn about this collective history, to talk about how it impacts them, and to take action together.
Ignite the Light is a public event, and we would love to have you there. Friday, November 18th. 6:30pm at the W2 Media Cafe
