The Diocese of New Westminster is seeking a Missioner for Youth to provide parental leave coverage for this diocesan-wide ministry role. The Missioner for Youth extends and strengthens youth ministry across the Diocese, primarily through the ministries of individual parishes and the Diocesan Youth Movement (DYM) — developing leaders in youth ministry and coordinating a calendar of events and support that spans junior youth through young adults. The role combines relational parish support, leadership development, event coordination and pastoral care.

Term:
Parental leave coverage — 12 months, with possibility of extension to 18 months
Hours:
44.5 hours per month (part-time, 0.27 FTE)
Salary:
$28 - $30 Commensurate with experience and education, per the diocesan pay grid for children and youth ministry professionals
Reports to:
Director for Mission and Ministry Development
Location:
Diocese of New Westminster — travel to parishes required; some evening and weekend work
