Many thanks to Christ Church Cathedral parishioner and lay leader Kevin Smith, ODNW for sharing these photos of himself and his grandmother (who is also a great-grandmother) Ms. Shelagh Smith, ODNW posing with their medals and ribbons earlier this year.
Shelagh was the Nominee from the Parish of St. Anselm in 2015, and Kevin who is also the Vice-Chancellor of the Diocese of New Westminster was a Bishop's Nominee for 2020.

As well as mentoring many young people as a Professor of Nursing and District Commissioner of the Girl Guides, Shelagh served on the Parish Council for 11 years and as a Trustee for six years. She organized many fundraising events over the past 23 years. Shelagh brings wisdom to her ongoing involvement in the Pastoral Visitation Team, Homeless Ministry Team, Student Ministry Discernment Team and the Parish Prayer Team, which form a testament to her commitment to live “Christ Life”.
