The program department of the Diocese of New Westminster led by Director of Mission and Ministry, the Reverend Tellison Glover continues to develop new program opportunities for our diocese. From the parish development course for smaller parishes called Groundwork to a roster of Christian formation webinars, and programs, Rev. Glover assisted by Archbishop Melissa Skelton and the Reverends Jessica Schaap and Tasha Carrothers are dedicated to realizing our diocesan priority, that:
One of the more successful programs which is a true collaboration of Synod staff and parish leaders are the Parish Development Grants (PDG) and they are administered by the PARISH DEVELOPMENT GRANTS COMMITTEE, consisting of dedicated lay volunteers from our diocese with a variety of skills in the field of parish development.
With PDG applications coming up the PDG Committee have designed two webinar events under the umbrella title:

July 10, 3pm: WHAT IS A PARISH DEVELOPMENT GRANT?
In this webinar we will:
1. Describe the basics of Parish Development Grants
2. listen to testimonials of several parishes that went through the Parish Development Grants process
3. explore elements of parish development grant writing
4. take an in-depth look at the Parish Development Grants process
5. discuss issues related to getting your parish development project funded
6. prepare participants for the next webinar where we will workshop project ideas
July 17, 3pm: HOW TO SUCCESSFULLY PREPARE A PARISH DEVELOPMENT GRANT APPLICATION
In this webinar you will:
1. Share your parish development project ideas in small groups
2. Develop and refine project ideas by inviting and giving feedback
3. Share other resources that will assist parishes with their grant application and the projects themselves
