The Parish of St. Thomas, Chilliwack was delighted to recognize the
70th Wedding Anniversary of long-time parishioners, Slim and Anne
Akkerman on sunday, July 1st, 2012
Anne was 18 when she married the 20 year old Lancaster Bomber ground crew member in 1942.
Slim and Anne have attended the 8am service at St. Thomas
for many years. Their daughters Trina and Anne-Marie attended church
with their families on July 1st in honour of their parent's milestone
event..
Coffee was served in the narthex following the 8am worship and the narthex was decorated with Morning Glories.
