The Parish of St John's in Sardis held a PWRDF fund raiser on April 25, at the St John's church hall. Admission was by donation and the entertainment was the "Popkum Pickers". This local group of three "guys" and a "doll"provided us with an entertaining evening of bluegrass, country and sing along music with their guitar, banjo, mandolin and bass. The crowd of over one hundred donated $1650 for PWRDF.
Micki McLellan was the organizer and hostess for the evening where coffee and sweets were provided at intermission. An enjoyable toe-tapping time was had by all, especially Marion Williams who won the door prize of a Robert Bateman print
