Two Melanesian Brothers from the Solomon Islands, Brother Nelson Bako and Father Richard Nokia (Chaplain) who visited the Diocese of New Westminster for 10 days in mid-March were here in the diocese to attend the liturgies at St. James’ for the late the Reverend John Carter Blyth. They administered the chalice during Holy Communion at the March 15 Requiem Mass, and will take Br. John's ashes back to the Solomon Islands.

While in the diocese they did some visiting including a trip to Cypress Mountain Resort in West Vancouver with the Reverend Alecia Greenfield where they experienced snow in-person for the first time ever. Brother Nelson and Alecia even made snow angels.

And, on Sunday, March 19, Brother Nelson was at St. Aidan and St. Bartholomew (St. Bart's), in Gibsons on the Sunshine Coast for the principal Celebration of the Eucharist for Lent III where he administered the chalice.
