The 4th Annual Long, Long Night of Hope Fundraiser is Back
TWO DATES! TWO LOCATIONS! ONE AMAZING FUNDRAISER FOR THE HOMELESS!
This is the little fundraiser that could! In its first 3 years, LLNOH was able to donate more than $50,000 to The Lookout Housing and Health Society of North Vancouver. All monies raised stay on the North Shore, to help the ever-growing number of homeless people in our community.
This year the fundraiser has expanded to a second North Vancouver location and a second date, to give more people an opportunity to take part!
- February 22nd, Long, Long Night of Hope, St. Catherine’s, Capilano (Edgemont Village)
- February 29th, Long, Long Night of Hope, St. John the Evangelist (just off Lonsdale)
No one is homeless by choice. People are sleeping on the streets, in their vehicles, on friend’s couches or in shelters for many reasons, including financial crises, renoviction, and mental illness. Far too many of them are senior citizens, people who have worked hard their entire lives but cannot afford housing on their meagre pension.
Homelessness is not some else’s problem. People you know and love might be one paycheque away from being homeless. Together we can make a difference and build long-term solutions for the homelessness crisis in our community.
You can help. Donate, or register and become a participant in The Long, Long Night of Hope 2020. Registration is free, and fundraising is easy!
- there is no minimum amount to raise
- immediately start raising money online by sharing your personal fundraising page with your friends and family via email and social media
- challenge your friends and family to join! Create a team!
Then join us on either night for the Long, Long Night of Hope event, when we sleep in our cars just as so many homeless people do every night of the year.
Sleepless? Possibly. But it will be the most fulfilling sleepless night of your life.
Homelessness is not Hopelessness. Be the Hope.
