Dear Parish Family,

There has been a lot going on in my Parish Admin office so I apologize that the eblast is a day late!  First - a huge thank you to everyone who came last Saturday and cleared all the blackberry canes that Terry has been single-handedly cutting for the last 2 months. And to Annette for organizing us.  You can see from the photo below how much we cleared. Now the land around the church is green with new grass.  Soon it will have to be mowed - so prayers that our lawn mower guy from Point Roberts will be able to come across the border with his ride em' mower would be helpful.

Last Sunday was our first service together in three months!  Twenty-eight people came.  Thanks to April for leading us and to Annette for flowers from her garden and to Joni for the welcome home banner and balloons and Susan for playing the piano.  We've got all our COVID-19 signs up and arrows on the floor and pews marked for where you can sit and hand sanitizer in the bathrooms ...

This Sunday is our first with Louie Engnan, our newly appointed 1/2 time priest!  This is very exciting.  Please come to welcome Louie.  Smiles will have to do for handshakes and coffee.  Our service this Sunday and next will be at 10AM as usual and will be live-streamed via Zoom to Louie's congregation at St. Michael's.  In July, when St. Michael's begins their own services, we will be having our service at 11 AM.

When you come over the next few weeks be sure to check out Joni's photo display in the hallway. Most Important Reminder:  Saturday at 10AM is our Special Vestry Meeting to discuss, with representatives from the Diocese, our plan for the Parish with regards to the property and our ministry in Surrey. It is really important for all those who have been attending and supporting CtR to come and hear what is being proposed and to vote as a Vestry member. The Agenda for the meeting is attached.

As the summer solstice is almost here, I wish you all a wonderful summer and hope that soon we will be in Phase 3 of the COVID-19 response.  Our weekly prayer list is attached and a Litany of Prayer for the National Indigenous Day of Prayer.

Every blessing,Annie
