Many thanks to St. Matthew, Abbotsford's Linda Burton for forwarding the information about the first virtual church service produced in that parish. This is of course, in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. This broadcast is being promoted to both congregations.
Here is what Linda had to say:
"I was excited to see Rev. Allen Doerksen, our Rector's Warden Virginia Hooper and her husband Ralph Hooper put together virtual church tonight, Saturday night (March 14), for Sunday's at-a-distance shortened service and got ourselves a YouTube channel. Others from Parish Council also helped with technical advice."
Here is what a St. Matthew' parishioner had to say after watching the video.
"I wish to say that the ability to continue with my worshiping with all that is going on in the world today is very uplifting and creates joy within me. I give my heartiest thank you to all who have made this possible. God bless all of you and keep healthy."
