The staff and volunteers at St. Paul’s Advocacy Office have scheduled a fundraiser - the Advocacy Walk.

Supporters of the services of the Office will put on their walking shoes on Sunday, October 1, and go for a 5 kilometre walk around Lost Lagoon in Stanley Park.

The Advocacy Office in St Paul’s, 1130 Jervis St., in Vancouver’s West End is open to everyone. No barriers. No boundaries.

The Office is a community support service of St Paul’s Anglican Church, and is generously supported by grants from the Law Foundation.

It has provided services to the community for over 10 years. People come to the office for assistance with a variety of issues, including: welfare applications and claims; appeals; EI issues; landlord tenant disputes and arbitrations; Canada Pension Plan applications; help in locating housing; help with seniors’ issues.

Office hours are Mondays and Wednesdays 9:30 am to 4 pm., and Thursdays 10 am to 2:30 pm.

The walk leaves St Paul’s at 1 pm and finishes at Second Beach in Stanley Park. Pledge forms are available at: www.advocacywalk.net or phone 604 683-4287.
