At 12:30pm, Thursday, May 12, the intense drizzle abated long enough to get a quick photo of ordained diocesan leaders meeting at St. John the Divine, Squamish. The acronym for this group is BARDDSS, which stands for Bishop, Archdeacons, Regional Deans, Dean (of the diocese) and Senior Staff (aka Leadership Team). Many thanks to this group chaired by Bishop John Stephens for taking time from their lunch break to pose in the street beside the church in front of mountain vistas in the Garibaldi Highlands region situated 6 kilometres north of the town of Squamish.

St. Cuthbert's, Delta hosted the 55th AGM of the Anglican Church Women (ACW) on Saturday May 7. Here we see a photo taken by St. Cuthbert's rector, the Reverend Paul Woehrle of Bishop John Stephens installing the Diocesan ACW officers for 2022 and blessing the congregation of 60.

Folks at St. John the Apostle, Port Moody welcomed the Diocesan Missioner for Indigenous Justice, Kerry Baisley, ODNW and his assistant (and photographer) Brian Shieh as they shared the craft of "felting a heart" on Saturday, May 7, 2022.

Each and every day since the pandemic lockdown hit England in March 2020, Dean Robert Willis has offered morning prayer from the beautiful and varied grounds of the Canterbury Cathedral deanery. He "went viral" early in the pandemic when one of his cats stole the show, and his virtual congregation has grown ever since. Many in the our diocese and across the world will miss the Dean's morning reflections when he reluctantly retires on his 75th birthday, May 13.

Everyday, our lives are challenged with the news that comes out of Ukraine. The unspeakable horrors of war continue to afflict countless people across Ukraine and the world. Sadly, Ukraine is top of mind, however there are many other places where war is still being raged throughout the word.

Alongside the program, musica intima has commissioned visual artist Sonny Assu ( Liǥwildaʼx̱w of the Kwakwaka’wakw Nations ) whose new work will be exhibited at the performance.
