The 11th Investiture of ODNW new members was celebrated within the context of Morning Prayer at the Massey Theatre in New Westminster, November 5, 2022, 10:30am following a four-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Investiture is a biennial event. The purpose of this liturgy and the investiture contained within it is to honour a new group of people who have distinguished themselves in living out their baptismal identity and commitment in an exemplary way through service within their parishes, in their broader communities and in the Diocese of New Westminster.

Comic Papers

Comic Papers

Herbert O'Driscoll

I used to love comics when I was a child. Had stacks of them. Bought them when I had a few pence - borrowed them, exchanged them. Short of larceny I got them where and when I could. In those far off days they were more than just pictures with captions, as they later became. They had stories with illustrations. Alas, they were racist, sexist and every other “ist” you can think of.

A Prayer for World Peace

A Prayer for World Peace

O God of the nations,
as we look to that day when you will gather people
from north and south, east and west,
into the unity of your peaceable Kingdom,
guide with your just and gentle wisdom all who take counsel
for the nations of the world,
that all your people may spend their days in security, freedom, and peace,
through Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.
