Transforming Questions

Transforming Questions

Online Christian Formation Course - Thursdays, 7-8:15pm, January 26 - April 13

  • Can we question our faith?
  • Who is Jesus?
  • Does God answer prayer?
  • How do I read the Bible?
  • Why is there suffering?
  • How should we live?

This is a course for those exploring faith for the 1st or the 50th time; adults preparing for baptism, confirmation, reception into the Anglican Church, or reaffirmation of baptismal vows. In 11 sessions, we seek to move deeper by engaging in some of faith’s most basic questions:

Is it Monday or Tuesday?

Is it Monday or Tuesday?

by Stephen Rowe

Since the advent of COVID-19, in common with everyone else, we started to use technology to worship, meet and connect.

One of our early learnings was that midweek liturgy was also a way to stay together, pray and interact. Once a week we meet for Mattins and Compline.

From Light through Darkness to Light Again: Dynamics of Faith through Epiphany into Lent

From Light through Darkness to Light Again: Dynamics of Faith through Epiphany into Lent

Peter Elliott

Do you see better now?  Or now?

Anyone who’s ever had an eye examination will immediately recognize these questions. As the optometrist places different lenses in front of your eyes, you focus on the letters on the screen and indicate if one lens helps you see better than another.

Seeing clearly is a key theme of the Biblical narrative because faith is more a matter of perception than belief.

TO LOVE AND SERVE Anglican Beliefs and Practice

A personal response by Hannah Main-van der Kamp

Did you know that in the exchange of the peace we are instructed to seek out those from whom we are estranged and secondly, to visitors? (As we are already reconciled to our buddies, there is no need to pass the peace to them.) Do you need to know that the Oil of Anointing is different from the Oil of Chrismation?
