THE DAY GOD SENDS A MESSAGE.An Ash Wednesday reflection - Herbert O'Driscoll All over the world on a particular day millions of men and women and children do an extraordinary thing. They enter a place of worship and kneel, close their eyes, and wait. They wait for someone to come carrying a small bowl of black ashes. These ashes have been made by burning some dried palm branches which a year before were carried around in procession in this same place of worship.

DOOLEY’S LORRYHerbert O'Driscoll A child has the great gift of turning the ordinary into something romantic and exotic. In fact for a child there is no ordinary. So much remains mysterious and unknown that everything is full of wonder. I find - as I’m sure you do - these memories always waiting to be touched and revived.

Freedom Sunday, February 19, 2022
In the Anglican Church of Canada, Freedom Sunday shines light on the connections between human trafficking, labour exploitation, and missing and murdered Indigenous women and girls, and 2SLGBTQI+ persons. Everywhere, people of faith express compassion and solidarity with trafficked peoples through prayer, bible study and worship, and by making commitments to tackle these dehumanizing crimes. |
